They may come as the first party but more parties will enter the new Parliament so today's unjustice situation will end.
There're free elections in Turkey Thuggishh. But the electoral system is very unfair. That's why the AKP controls 66 percent of the seats in Turkey's parliament despite gaining only 34 percent of the popular vote (%24 of
total votes).
It's not fair situation.
The Turkish electoral system has a 10 percent threshold, in 2002 election 45 percent of voters cast their support for parties that failed to breach the threshold. In conclusion the AKP received assembly representation equal to nearly double its vote-take.
Today 45% of the voters are not represented in the Parliament (43% of the 45% are secular voters from different political parties).
Moreover,in 2002, about 10 million center right and center left voters protested the elections for the first time and did not vote. This was due to the policies of the coalition government which resulted in the worst crisis that Turkey ever experienced in 2001.In fact, AKP received a lot of protest votes due to the crisis of 2001 and I don't think this will ever happen again.
There's huge disquiet among the people. In Turkey the biggest problem is seculars are badly divided, however AKP is the only party which gets votes from the religious/conservative circle.
