Don't be suprised if one day, a Syrian Airlines lands in Ben Gurion airport and out comes Bashar for the peace treaty of a life time.

The problematic issue about peace is that it would bring nomalized economic and cultural relations with the Jewish state. That would mean Jewsish control over our economies and as a result over our political establishment similar to what's happening in the West. However, that logic leads to the conclusion that we should remain in a state of war with Israel to avoid giving Israel the economic and political control Zionism is longing for. My point is, we should not limit the Israeli-Arab conflict just to the military struggle over the occupied lands, the economic equation is as important as the occupied territories if not more important when we think about our struggle against Israel. I agree with you that we should look at both sides (politics and economie)
But sooner or later Syria will sign, so we have to be ready for that day as Lebanese because the price of the treaty might be something negative for Lebanon. We have to ensure that our political vision is wider then the Lebanese border and we have to start having real intelligence agency's working for the Lebanese GOverment like Isreal and Syria has already.

We have laws that don't allow foreigners to own more than half of a company so how can the zionists take over our economy ?
