This thread is about the possibility of an Arab country to lift the economic boycott and do trade with Israel. What are you ideas about that? Is it true that Syria is doing trade with Israel? Is doing trade with Israel has been good or bad to Egypt and Jordan? Can we make war and do trade in the same time? Can we open our markets to Israeli companies??

All members are urged to contribute to this subject and discuss other matters in other threads. Otherwise the thread will be closed. Thanks.

Iran backed HA and helped it, when this one defended my parents. France and USA had the power to oblige Israel to withdraw Lebanon immediatly, or at least to release the thousands of prisoners retained in Khian. They did nothing until the last minute of may 2000. I love Iran because it was good with me.

I love Palestine and palestinian people and I care about all what is hapening to them. We can not play as Israel is nothing doing bad to them. I love Palestine because I love justice and justice is on their side.

I surely love Lebanon because I love myself and mines and want it to be very high. I trust on HA to go on this direction. I hope that together with FPM we will raise up the level of morality on the lebanese political life.

Egypt and Jordan are recieving big aids for doing peace with israel. These aids will stop when people in Egypt and Jordan accept to be in peace with israel.
On the other hand, this aggravates the terrorism in egypt which started against israelis or greeck taken for israelis.

yes if positive interests are bigger than negative ones. But I don't see any positive one to trade with israel

I just want everyone to know that we are the ones with 350,000 Palestinian refugees. So, even if you don't care about what happens with Palestinian?Isreali conflict or you don't consider yourself an arab, from an pure lebanese stand point, we should care about it.

Lebanon, then Palestine and at last Iran. That is obvious.

Anyway, defending Lebanon does not mean for me to defend Walid Beik or Sheik Saad, even if they confuse the interests of Lebanon with their own interests

If we sell our apples to Israel and buy cheap computers from them in a side deal while war and resistance continues to free the land, is that an option for you? How about an Israeli company opening in Beirut to produce computers, would you apply for a job?

We would not win on dealing NOW with Israel. Normalizing relations with the ennemy state NOW, costs too expensive.

Under which conditions this should become possible? If we sign a just and fair peace treaty with the Jewish state, should we open our market and our investments to the Jewish capitals?

yes, we should respect what we sign. That is why we should always be sure of what we sign, specially when it is with the ennemy state.
