I agree that it would be extremely difficult for Syria to win a war against Israel. Remember we are talking about a war where the goal is to free the golan. Anything short of this goal would be a defeat in some kind of way. It is wrong to underestimate the ennemy even after last July's war. such a war is dangerous not only to syria but to the regime as well and if the zionists win they will definately put extremely tough conditions on syria and can possibly steal more arab land.
1 thing you can be sure about is will be with you all the way ya syrian. Souria bi kouloubina.

Anyway, syrians & iranian's are building armies that can repell attacks and do great damage, not attack armies, so if anything syria is preparing to retaliate in case israel hits or tries some stunts, thats it, at least in my opinion .

Because people can not help themselves. Any chance to bash Syria is taken up with extreme vigour.

Syria must prepare itself for a war, but that does not mean that it should want it or start it. It is obvious that the polarization of the opposing sides has reached boiling point. Israel is doing war games in the Golan and attacking Syria and Iran verbally, the US is on the same track also. Any sane leader would prepare his people for a war in the current climate.

So if Syria is attacked and devastated you would be happy? I do not think you mean that do you?

If your state learned 1 thing from the lebanon war it is that anti-aircraft missiles are a necessety. 1 of the main reason they failed in lebanon is because of the guerilla tactics used by the resistence which means that they didn't know where the HA fighters were located. In consequence their air advantage didn't produce much results and they ended up randomly firing at buildings in the hope of killing HA fighters, missing almost every time.
Freeing the Golan would probably have to involve it's invasion at 1 point or another if the israelis refuse to retreat due to heavy costs to their army. These would mean that thousands of troops would have to be called upon to invade. Even if you do manage to get the golans back temporary in order to ensure a permanent stay it is necessary to have these sophisticated missiles as Israel's air force would be succesful otherwise in inflicting huge casulties on our syrian brothers.

By us I mean the honourable lebanese who support the arab cause at any cost in spite of all our "problems" with Syria. We must know who the real ennemy is in any arab-israeli conflict and forget our problems with Assad in such situations if they occur. As arabs we should be united against our number 1 ennemy.
Yes I know who the ones you are talking about are: The zionist lovers who dream of visiting tel aviv via the lebanese borders on a daily basis nd I certainly hope they are minority in all communities (please say i'm right ). I wonder what kind of stance LBC would take. Ja3ja3 would probably stay quiet during that period.

That's fine, what is underlined above is what matters.

Yes,I know, but hopefully them supporting the israelis might have a bad impact on their popularity. This might not be true with LF supporters but the sunnis of lebanon by history have always been anti-israeli and the new boy in the square Saad won't change that. Him supporting the israelis during such a war would have a bad impact on his support.

After thinking carefully, I don't see it in Assad's nature to start a war with the israelis. He is too coward for that in my eyes. We were getting carried away.

Sorry, I misunderstood your point. People should never be happy about any country or people being destroyed.
