Default The ROAD PUZZLE - 2nd August 2007

The ROAD PUZZLE

Yes, that old square road puzzle where you were courageous enough to enter working your way out through misleading temptations, frustrating guesses and sometimes finding yourself trapped inside a dead end about to give up.

Well, DON’T! I have a suggestion. How about starting out from the exit backwards and learning what that road map is all about.

Did I say ROAD MAP? I guess I gave it away!

What is the Middle East Road Map and what is Lebanon’s coordinates on that map?

Remember when Yasser Arafat used to say the road to Palestine passes through Jounieh? I guess it does if Palestine is Nahr el Bared!

Remember when Yasser Arafat’s privet jet crashed in Saudi Arabia desert and the American satellites located and rescued him? I guess he was not their enemy after all, was he?

The western media did not make a big deal out of the fact that Arafat’s death was caused by deliberate food poisoning; I wonder if that’s the end of those who sell their soul to the Devil without being able to deliver it. . . Could that explain the assassinations in Lebanon? If so, who’s next?

The Syrian occupation of Lebanon was mandated by the U.S. containing the country and guaranteeing the security of the northern Israeli borders. During that time, Lebanese politician’s lives depended on how well they served their Syrian Masters. That included Rafik Hariri’s, a multiple term Prime Minister. Then, timing required certain changes.

For the last forty years, Lebanon’s miseries have been caused by the Middle East conflicts. As of today, nothing has changed.

The Old/New plan of the United States for Israel including the Paris III, American Taxpayers money of $770 million pledge by Rice specifically to Saniora Government, is simply part of the Bush Administration’s ROAD MAP to secure Greater Israel borders; Jerusalem as its Capital, while guaranteeing NO Palestinian return. That very same reason cost Isaac Rabin his life. Lebanon’s role is to absorb its Palestinian population regardless of the negative impact on the country and its people. Lebanon’s politicians have two choices, accepting the plan, rewarded by a handsome bribery and a laundered criminal record including any past history with Syria or, blackmail with such record if they happen to have one. If not, a custom fabricated one will be offered; complimentary of the Western Hypocrisy, the way they dealt with General Michel Aoun…

Here we have it all. Lebanese politicians that the Western Media call pro Western, regardless of their past and ugly relationship with Syria are those who promised to sell out. All others who are accused of being pro Syrians pro Iranians, regardless of their past are those who refused to sell. Except for Gen. Michel Aoun who NEVER sold out, the first group sold before and is selling now. The second group might have sold before but refuses to do it this time.

For example, if President Emile Lahoud was willing to sell, he would no longer be accused as pro Syrian. If Gen. Aoun promised to sell, he will become the next President effortlessly. If Hezbollah agreed on giving up their land, their arms will never be an issue again.

The opposition can beat the traitors by selling out first. Or, make the noble hard choice which will eventually earn them the world respect and admiration along with the pride of our future generation.

If we know the answer, why bother with the question?

As a Society, we are given one of two choices, give up our identity and be left alone or endure economic and security hardships until the rest of us wake up, or the International community gives up.

I say, let’s hang in there!
