This declaration has surely earned Obama a very powerful and influential enemy: Pentagon and the entire US Army general staff.

I am 100% with him on this, but how wise is it to take on a Goliath of this magnitude, even before securing the nomination of his party? Even Almighty JFK didn't dare go head to head with the generals until he entered the White House.
