What do we know about Obama other than his eloquency?

As Kibitzer said: good orator does not translate into a good president.

Obama is the Democratic nominee mostly b/c he is black.

By the way, I have a question here: if his father is black, his mother is white, why is he black? is it part of racism, sexism, or something else-ism?

Other than his speeches, what did Obama offer the US?

How did Obama go up on the ladder?

His closest associate was convicted few days ago (criminal conviction)

His spiritual leader preaches hatred and racism.

After 20 years, he abandones his spiritual leader and his church b/c he just discovered him to be divisive and does not fit anymore his agenda.(now that he wants to be a president). It was ok earlier when it helped him grow up politically in his community.

He will abandon you faster and easier once his interests require it.

He is too liberal and his liberal agenda might be the reason for his defeat despite he is going to get lots of votes just b/c he is black. He will get more black votes than any other US president and that itself will mitigate the some white votes that usually go to the Demoratic candidate. In addition lots of white people will vote for him just to prove they are not racist; the guilt of racism.

He will increase taxes. He will even tax the dead ones(death tax).
He will spend more taxpayers money for programs that won't give good results.

He offers hope hoping he will be elected.

The hope is that he gets elected so the media will stop depressing the people and the country. As soon as he gets elected the news will become rosy. The economy all of a sudden becomes great; the bad news disappear and everyone in the evening news is a happy camper.

Colin Powell is a much better choice but unfortunatly he did not want it. That would have been history worth talking about

I don't think Obama knows how to point at Lebanon on the map .

He thinks GMA is just the abbreviation for GMAIL.

regards

I ain't voting for Obama if Hils is not on his team... I am a devout Democrat, but I will certainly vote McCain this time if Senator Clinton won't be in the lead team. We know McCain's record. We know Hilary's record (pretty well), but excuse me? Who is Obama? How well can we trust him? I am not too comfortable with him being the lead runner for president.
Anyway... I am waiting to see what will happen. Hope all turns well...

What does it mean "on his team"? Like vice-pres.?

Ok, you dont like Obama, but why voting for McCain? For lengthening the years of failure and the destruction of world politics and economics?

Why dont you just abstain from voting:)

Besides negotiations are on way in the background, both Obama and Clinton know how important is to unite the democratic front. So they would cooperate.

If you think of voting for McCain, then you certainly don't know his record, nor his program, nor himself as a person!

His record, program and person (both ideologically and intellectually) will make him a Bush III-type President!

I don't like Reagan, as I am a rather leftist-oriented person, but I can understand why people would vote for him. But McCain? I mean come on, people voted for Bush twice, they are disappointed today and say they wouldn't do it again! Yet many people won't mind making the famous "jamais 2 sans 3" - which doesn't mean "third time's a charm" - a reflection of their stupidity!

Really, Fragrant, don't hide behind your "I'm a devout democrat" lie! Either you act by conviction, or you refrain from talking nonsense!

If both Obama and McCain would be pro-Israeli, and even if Obama wins the Jewish vote prize, on all other aspects - national and internation politics -, Obama's a much better person and candidate for the job!

Now let's talk about that: if I were voting for Obama, it would certainly not be because I'm Lebanese!

As a Lebanese, I would be voting for any 3rd candidate in order to express my distrust in both candidates (though I would never vote for a McCain-type character).

Democrats (Obama or Hillary alike) are the most pro-Israeli people on earth. This was proved during the AIPAC-meeting at which Obama and Hillary expressed their full commitment to Israel! Democrats got up to 40% of their budget from AIPAC last year, whereas Republicans got 20% of theirs!

Either way, Lebanon is kinda cooked! Israel has its position secured. But...

On the other hand, one has to be reminded of the overall history of American intervention, in the Middle East and in the World! Since the end of WWII, Republicans have waged more wars than any other party in the world and in History! They were even the dirtiest war, the most messed-up wars one can imagine!

If Democrats have also waged such wars, the ethical dimension does come in a better light for them, though not all the time! They have been more keen on tutoring peace-processes rather than wars!

So ask yourself that question: As a Lebanese, would you vote for a Democrat because they are better for Lebanon, or just less bad for it and for the World?

Honestly it was very sad to see on CNN that young woman saying that she no way will vote for Obama, than rather McCain. This shows intensified suicidal tendencies among the common democrats. It also shows how effective the propaganda is, and how politicians teach you to not to think on your own.

It really doesnt matter actually who is the president, what matters is who are behind him. And the right people are now behind Obama.

Have you been following McCain? He was one of the biggest critics of Rumsfeld and Bush's policy in Iraq, and he was getting heat for that reason by many Republican commentators. This is just Democrat propaganda that he's a copy cat of Bush. He was like the only Republican to firmly stand against torture and waterboarding when all others were dying to appeal to the crazies on the right by acting "tough on terrorism" (i.e racist and Islamophobic).

Obama's support for Israel is fishy, only because I have evidence that he was involved with some Palestinian activists before political campaigning. One such activist has already spoken. I do think that there was a lot of demagogy in his campaign, starting from that whole "change" **** (which he rarely forumalted). When it comes to foreign policy, he barely represents "change". He basically advocates the "realistic" strategy that was followed by Clinton and who's before him, which include dealing with dictatorships as long as they fall in within US interests.

Propaganda or not, it was started by McCain himself. That few years ago he had some minors differences with Bush, it didnt hinder him being suddenly best buddies with him. A lovely pair they together.

Tell me what is this suicide fewer some people have who think to vote for McCain?
