08ama Change we can believe in!
Most Blue C worker in the rust belt states support her and he needs those votes.

Also why do think John Kerry lost 4 years ago (other than he is week and doesn't deserve to be president), he just didn't have enough support from the Democratic party cause Clinton and gang wanted to keep the way open for her to be the Democratic nominee in 2008. And this will happen again if she is not on the ticket as a VP.

You cannot compare for the following reasons:
  • It is John Kerry
  • That was in 2004, when it was still cool to be a Republican
  • Kerry cannot energise a whole new generation of voters
  • Obama will reintroduce himself to the blue collar voters sooner or later
  • The blue states will remain blue... Obama will secure new swing states due to young and black voters

For those cheering for McCain, did you watch his opening speech at the aipac convention last week?

I just hope you are right regarding the last statement in your post;
a lot of people are still pregidous in this country, a lot of them will not vote for a black guy and that is why the support of the Clinton's might help him capture some of those votes - mainly retired elderly people votes.

They will not let him be the president, he is too good to be true.

Ironic, because Obama is at Aipac right now and he's kissing feet already.

Bottom line: No hope for America, no hope for the world.

No hope for us anyways.

Funny how I see members here cheering for these candidates.

Oh wait lol, Hillary will have a speech at Aipac soon as well =)

Well I said it earlier and I say it now, Obama is the lesser of the 3 presented evils.

But if America wants a proper president, it should accept nothing less than a person like Ralph Nader.

Other than that, pfff it's the choice between a slap and a spank.

Right at the beginning of the primaries, I said exactly the same thing. I was absolutely sure that America is not ready yet to elect a woman or an African-American President. I was sure the next President will be the Republican nominee.

A month or two into the primaries, I was surprised not by the first results but rather by the attitude of voters I thought would be opposed the most to electing a woman or an African-American. Every time I talked to one such voter, I was stunned to find out that he/she will support Obama (or Clinton to a lesser degree).

Today, I can say with confidence that "I was wrong". America is ready to elect a minority President.

The sentiment against the Bush administration (for their failed economy and foreign policy) is so strong among American voters that I can confidently say, barring any "major" yet unrevealed scandal, the game is over. There will be, of course, those who will still vote against Obama because of his race. However, regardless of their numbers, they will not make up for the voters who will vote against the Bush policies.

Game over.

The funny part is that I am still undecided whom to support: Obama or McCain :)
