Default Kadima Party wins the elections in Israel - 29th March 2006

Kadima party just won the elections in Israel with 29 seats, followed by the labour party that have rea&ched the number of 22 seats.

Hope that this new government will lead Israel to peace with all the arab world and will help in the creation of a new palestinian state. Ehud Olmert speech was good, now we have to hope that he will achieved what he said about peace and the creation of a palestinian state.........!!!!!!

Thanks for this thread bro
When I will hear an Israelian worried about the results of our elections, and hoping to see a government that will lead the country for peace with them?
why are we the one worried who's winning there? when are they going to worry who is winning here.
It is better that the others fears us then loving us. and we do fear Israel.

Because whether we like it or not, our situation depends on Israel's political life.....as simple as that

They need around 25 more seats in the parliament in order to form a coalition capable of naming a prime minister. The question will be who will Kadima choose and how will that affect the peace process with the Palestinians? Hamass while celebrating the acceptance of the newly formed government did not show any positive signs in regard of Kadima's victory.
What are the possible scenarios for the coalition and how would it affect the peace process?

What happens in Israel effects the whole region and thus Lebanon, it is not a bad thing neccessarily, but rather a fact of life.
There is something called the Arab-Israeli conflict that is going on that we are a part of, so naturally their elections will effect us in some way, just as the Palestinian elections will.
