U.S. Researcher: Israel's Nuclear Program Threatens Entire Planet

American nuclear specialist John Steinbeck in a paper entitled ‘Nuclear Energy in Israel’ that he presented before the Nuclear Energy Conference in the Gulf organized by the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research said that Israel is the fifth largest nuclear power in the world that has in its arsenal some 200 nuclear weapons,

despite her continuous denying for 40 years. He added that Israel's massive nuclear arsenal is often ignored or underestimated in international forums.

He said that Israel's nuclear program not only threatens the Middle East, but the entire planet, pointing out that the program is not aimed at deterrence as the Jewish State claims, which is confirmed by the complexity of its arsenal that is complete with a combat strategy.

He said: “Israel regularly uses nuclear threat as a powerful tool to keep the status quo and influence events. Also her refusing to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and negotiate freeing the Middle East of nuclear weapons reinforces the likelihood that future conflicts in the region may turn regionally and globally nuclear.”

to defend one's existence isn't the same as threatening anybody. it is more like "if you attack my existence, yours will be destroyed as well"

What a ridiculous comment! As if anyone is going to use nuclear weapons against Israel! Are you in touch with reality or is this just a babbling of nonsense without thinking? Any use of nuclear weapons in the region is suicide to everyone there. I suggest they go back to the sword or move to different planets, then they can continue the fight.

And by all means, there's nothing 'fair' about Israel being where it is. Blotting Israel out of existance doesn't mean the 'people' of Isael, rather the country, most likely restoring what was on the map before you created little baby Israel. You can still live there in Palestine if you be nice.

Ok then Lebanon, Iran and Afghanistan should aquire Nuclear weapons also. And if you wanna use the logic that Israel is the Jewish homeland then we'll use a counter Logic saying that Palestine is a Muslim homeland And then we fight you for it.

I wouldn't have problem with Iran, Lebanon and Afghanistan having nuclear weapons, hadn't they openly threat to destroy another nation, if their leaders wouldn't be unstable people who are capable of committing atrocities with little sense for the name of god and if such country wouldn't be a utter mess, chaos and instability.

There has never been a country that's called Palestine.
Just look at what the Jews built up, and how the Palestinians failed horribly with the land they have had under their control since 1948. They failed in every single aspect of life - whether it's economic, national, educational and what not.
