hehe ignorance is bliss. It's the US Defense Department ;)

And to claim there is no war against terror globally which does not only include the US but Russia even, so is Russia part of the American evil axis now? This is also like claiming there's no such thing as global climate change.

I seriously doubt that terrorists and Death squads are influenced by Iran and Syria's interest's! Unless Ahmadinajad is US TOP secret official?!? hmmmmmmm, who knows?
The USA's stated goal is to bring democracy and stability to Iraq. If they cannot achieve this plan, they will lose out in the eyes of their people and the international community. Think about, why would the USA want to make itself look bad? Can we say that the US controlled the Vietcong during the Vietnam War? I don't remember the figures exactly, but the money that the US has spent on this war is much anything they could gain by "stealing" Iraqi oil.

The terrorist attacks and instability are the cause of terrorists coming from the nearby Muslim states and the naive planning of the Bush administration. Who's interest does it serve for democracy to fail in Iraq. In an interview with Diana Sawyer, Bashar said that Syria is not yet ready for democracy. The failure in Iraq will only serve the claims of tyrants such as Bashar and Khamenei.

Iraqi resistance? These are nothing but terrorists that equate civilians and Coalition soldiers. They are low-life thugs that have no respect for human life. Terrorism at its worst.

The US cannot control the situation in Iraq, I admit that. Why is that? A country that respects human rights for the most part cannot control a guerrilla-style insurgency. For example, Saddam could easily bring the situation under control because he would relentlessly bomb cities and commit massacres without any regard for the lives of civilians. Now, we have the US which is under the watch of the international community and world media. Think about it. A democracy cannot win a guerrilla war because the only way to defeat it is Saddam style.

So it the terrorists not resistance. It is the fault of those terrorists that decided to defend their country as the frensh resistance defended their country. It is their fault and not the fault of a foreign army that crosses 10000 miles to attack a country and destroy it knowing that it does not pose a threat to the US. Strange world indeed.

No it is not the resistance who are the terrosists, it is you Mr Bush who is the terrorist and those brave men who stood in guard to defend their country are the one who ought to be respected. Those suicide bomber who are filthy terrorist are from your best arabic ally, the saudi wahhabi whom you defend and allow to spread their vonom. If you want to stop terrorism stop the saudi regime from spreading wahhabism. If it was not for you Mr bush we would not have those suicide bombers killing civilians and your soldiers too. You are the one who made their mothers cry, the iraqi, American and saudi mothers.

Is this all you have to say? Instead of refuting my claims, you come and give me this emotional nonsense. Show me this Iraqi "resistance" that you are claiming exists. The only "resistance" are the people who equate civilians with American troops. Who are you talking about? The Mehdi Army? The Baathists? Al Quaeda?

I am not refuting your claims. You did not even made claims. You threw few generelized statements that showed deep hatred to Islam and to those who brought the nose of the US to the ground. I did not consider your post up to my standard of an "interesting article to refute". I know that some loved that the US would bomb every arab country to dust but this will stay a wish and a dream that will never be unattained as long as there are brave men who are standing in guard to defend their countries and bring the mightiest army to its knees as they did to the US army. Nothing more.....

Is this all you have to say. Wow, it looks like you stole on of Nasrallah's speeches or something. Instead of attacking and generalizing, how about you tell me who the Iraqi "resistance" is.

No it is the US state department; Within the Executive Branch, the Department of State is the lead U.S. foreign affairs agency

If you want to talk about the 'war on terror' you join the state department, if you want to help bomb and torture innocent civilians you join the Department of Defence or the CIA. You were talking, i.e. the former.

Russia is too strong to be included in the 'axis of evil'. Yes many countries are claim they are fighting a 'War on terror.' These wars have nothing to do with 'terrorists' but are just an excuse to curtail civil liberties and terrorise, murder and torture foreign nationals from 'terror' nations. It is just a tool to give politicians power and a sense of importance and divinity.

The entire American governmental system is intertwined. This argument is ridiculous.

And the department of defense has no public relations department? Here's the link if you want to check Link Anyway it appears your knowledge runs as far as conspiracy theories and pop culture when it comes to the CIA and Defense Department.

Right because there's no such things as extremists in the KSA, or Chechnyans in Russia, or Basque separatists and terrorist bombers in Spain, or Islamic terrorists in the UK or Germany or France. They're all just acts done by the state onto their own people to increase their power.
