The S-300 will never be sold to Iran nor to Syria,it's considered as a tactical weapon and it is still deployed all over Russia.
The Armenian acquired it because the Russians already have many military bases out there.
It is said now that the S-300 is not efficient as it used to be two years ago,and it's radar could be jammed with the newest technologies, but there is no doubt that this system can shoot down any military jet in normal conditions.
I expect the Russians to sell this weapon to Iran by 2011,when the S-400 will be in service.
The Russians already deployed few S-400 units in Moscow, but they are still prototypes. The S-400 has a better range and an improved radar system and it will be able to shoot down all military jets including the stealth one like the F-22.
