Iran has so far treated these thugs with kid gloves. Iran should announce total curfew in rich areas which are bases of pre-planned thuggery & departing points of attacks. Iranian police should shoot anyone that violates the curfew. That is the only way to quell this externally-backed thuggery on the streets of Tehran. And if their thuggish attacks continue, raze down rich neighborhood after neighborhood and deport its inhabitants to Iraq. That is the only way to fight the plot, and the coming days will show if there is a big plot or if it just small actions here and there that are ignited by the corrupt Rafsanjani & his tool Moussavi, in order to save his neck from the exposure of his corruption.

It is very obvious that this unrest is CIA orchestrated. They did the same thing to Chavez. They're doing the same thing to Ahamadi Najad.

Israel's language has also been getting more bellicose, so I'm guessing that this could perhaps be staged to rally public opinion against Iran and lend "legitimacy" to an Israeli attack on Iran.

If what u say is true , and it may well be, all those rioters of the thug Moussavi will be hanged in public, for hurting Iran and giving its enemies the opportunity to attack it. Once again we hear "regime change" screamed out loud by protestors in western countries, most of whom are not even Iranian, and the Iranian ones are supporters of the shah (see pictures that have in them the old flag of shah's iran). it is amazing that vote-rigging is being claimed without even any evidence , when there is more evidence of vote-rigging in Lebanon than in Iran and nothing is being said about it except heaping praises on Hariri's win !!!

Give me a break, PUBLIC stonings that were LEAKED OUT? Iran is not North Korea for goodness' sake.

There is nothing in the Iranian "regime" that is authoritarian. You are mistaking a theocratic republic with an authoritarian regime.

did I compare it to NK? I am aware of its official title theocracy, which is nothing else but a form of authocracy. I could care less about the whole circus what they have over there and let them just suffer or enjoy what they have voted for...its just sad to see yet another beautiful country being wasted away.

Of course CIA is involved, arent they everywhere? But considering the prospects of a nuclear war, one can not decide whether we shall want a quick death or a long and painful suffering.

This is from a hardcore supporter of Moussavi , written in February of this year:

Karoubbi is a joke. He made a complete fool of himself in the 2005 election by promising to pay every Iranian the equivalent of $ 60 if he won! I don't know how you can possibly consider Karroubi a serious candidate.

M of A - The Iranian Election - An Economic View

Now , if I recall, one of the main arguments by supporters of Moussavi is that Karroubi could not have gotten so few support because he is this or that ethnicity or whatever.. What happened to the above claim that Karroubi made a joke of himself ? Perhaps Iranians are not so stupid as the so-called "reformists" would like to portray them as, after all ??????

300 billion dollars worth of oil revenue in 4 years has been wasted on Lebanon, useless investments in Syria, Hamas, and south American countries by ahmadinejad. Iranian economy is at its worst since I dont know when.

I hope those free Iranians kick ahmadinejad out

Fair enough, now would you care to tell us how much the Saudies spent in the past 20 years supporting Alqaida and other world terrorist organizations?

If Ahmadinejad will finally get through then they will get stay of execution for another four years. Maybe even less.

Russian leader congratulates Ahmadinejad
Mon, 15 Jun 2009 0928 GMT

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has congratulated Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad over his re-election in the June 12 presidential vote.

In a message on Monday, the Russian leader expressed hope that Ahmadinejad's reelection would further strengthen the already strong ties between Tehran and Moscow.

The Iranian president was due in Russia to attend a Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in the Urals city of Yekaterinburg.

Medvedev plans to meet Ahmadinejad on the sidelines of the summit to discuss bilateral ties and Iran's nuclear program, according to a Kremlin source.

Iran has observer status at the SCO, which groups Russia, China and four Central Asian states.

Besides Russia and China, the SCO groups the ex-Soviet Central Asian Republics of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. In addition to Iran, Mongolia, Pakistan and India have observer status
