20.06.2009 18:07

President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan congratulated the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejan on re-election. The message reads:

“Honorable Mr. Ahmadinejad,

On behalf of the people and authorities of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic I cordially congratulate you on this splendid and convincing victory in the elections of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

I am confident that your experience and knowledge, strength and energy of a capable leader will contribute to further the development and prosperity of the Islamic Republic.

We in Artsakh rate highly your balanced position on the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict settlement process and are confident that throughout your presidency the ties between the two our friendly nations will further strengthen. This will greatly contribute to peace and stability in the region.

I congratulate you once again on being reelected to this high and responsible position and wish success in all your patriotic undertakings. Let the people of Iran live in peace and prosperity.”

the iranian regime has showed its true face today and the students and supporters of moussavi who are demonstrating don't see to be backing down.

I can't believe the police are actually firing live shots at the demonstrators, najad will keep the presidency over the dead bodies of iranians.. how sad

Quiet the contrary,

Why did the 'students' attack the Basij and police headquarters?
What did you expect the reply would be? let them cross over and arm themselves?

The sad thing here, is that it seems that Moussawi is nowadays ready to tear down the whole Republic just so that he becomes a president.
Hopefully I am wrong.

On a side note, I think you should address your above statements to your beloved tribal kingdom of camels in saudi arabia, oh wait, there is no elections to begin with!
Or maybe we should let Husni Moubarak (The Man with 99% of approval [He surpassed Allah in term of public support]) show the Iranians how to run a democratic country.

People should quit with the kingdom of Saudi Arabia BS, the fact that saudi is not a democratic country doesnt make police firing on demonstrators with live shots ok.

on a side note, iran and the tribal kingdom of camels have much more in common that u'd think, both are claiming to be represeting the true islamic way of governing, it's just that Saudi doesn't bother with making its regime look better by holding supposedly free elections.

anyone here who honestly believes iran is a democracy is either delusional or lying.

Huge crowds in Tehran have defied warnings from Iran's Supreme Leader and the police to demonstrate in the capital on Saturday, in protest at the country's general election result.

this even better news

what is happening is beyond the results of the election as i said before the Iranian will take this opportunity to break the silence they dont want this brutal regime but it wont be easy everyday will become harder more and more

those Basij militias killing women and why because they want freedom!
