Armenia Congratulates Iran’s Ahmadinejad

President Serzh Sarkisian has congratulated his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on his hotly disputed reelection that has sparked angry street protests in and outside Iran.

About 50 supporters of Ahmadinejad’s main opposition challenger, Mir Hossein Musavi, gathered outside the Iranian embassy in Yerevan on Monday to condemn what they see the fraudulent official results of the June 12 presidential election that gave a landslide victory to the incumbent.

The protesters, most of them young Iranians studying in Armenian universities, chanted “We don’t need a dictator!” and “Musavi, we stand by you!” and held English-language placards accusing Ahmadinejad of rigging the ballot. “Where is my vote?” read one of them.

The whole nation voted against the incumbent president but the [election] result turned out to be the opposite,” said one young man who, like other demonstrators, refused to give his name.

“We elected a different person,” another protester wearing a green scarf, a symbol of the Musavi campaign, told RFE/RL's Armenian service. “So we don’t accept these election results.”

Those results have been unequivocally accepted by the Armenian government. Sarkisian on Sunday “warmly” congratulated Ahmadinejad and “the friendly people of Iran” on the election outcome.

“I am confident that together with you we will continue our joint efforts to deepen and strengthen Armenian-Iranian relations in various fields,” the Armenian leader said in a letter made public by his office. “That is what the traditional mutual respect between our peoples requires.”

Armenia has maintained close political and economic links with its large Muslim neighbor and one of its few transport conduits to the outside world ever since independence. Armenian-Iranian economic cooperation deepened during Ahmadinejad’s first presidential term, resulting in the construction of a pipeline that began pumping Iranian natural gas to Armenia last month.

Yerevan and Tehran agreed to press ahead with the implementation of more multimillion-dollar joint projects during Sarkisian’s official visit to the Islamic Republic in mid-April. Those include the construction of an Armenian-Iranian railway and a hydro-electric station on the Arax river separating the two nations.

Speaking after talks with Sarkisian, Ahmadinejad praised his country’s “very deep-rooted and friendly” relations with Armenia and described as “very bright and promising” prospects for their development. “We are to broaden our cooperation at regional and international levels,” he said.

The results are out... Pres. Ahmadinejad has won all provinces except West Azerbaijan & Sistan-Balochistan. Pres. Ahmadinejad lost in city of Tehran by 300,000 votes, but won in the province of Tehran by some 400,000 votes. It seems Moussavi's thugs do not see beyond the borders of their luxurious neighborhoods in Tehran.

Even the zio-american agent & liar Amir Taheri (the one who fabricated the story about how Iran's Jews were being forced to wear Nazi-like badges on their clothing!!!) admits that Pres. Ahmadinejad has won the elections. He only claims that there was a play on the percentage of votes he received, but says "I can't prove it". :) :)

CNN:
The president does indeed have great public support in Iran, Taheri said, adding that "I'm sure he did win the election but it's impossible he won 63 percent of the vote. The results probably exaggerated the scale of his support."

According to official results, Ahmadinejad won in all regions and among all classes and ages -- again, something that Taheri said was unlikely, "but I can't prove it."

These clowns don't even know how funny they sound? It says a lot about zionist-controlled western media that these clowns are considered reliable sources and all they do is mere speculation without proofs.

Awesome!! Thanks to Armenia for standing by the Islamic Republic of Iran & siding with righteousness and against the enemies of the oppressed peoples of the region & the world. It will be to the benefit of all oppressed peoples to unite against the arrogant powers of the world (including isra2il) that want to subjugate us to their will.

Russia also congratulated Pres. Ahmadinejad. :) It seems only the arrogant west is unhappy about the results and is trying to stage a coup in favor of their zionist masters.

Khamenei, who twice has certified the results before, has seen the light and reversed himself:
Quote:
State television quoted Ayatollah Ali Khamenei directing a high-level clerical panel, the Guardian Council, to look into charges by pro-reform candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi, who has said he is the rightful winner of Friday's presidential election. The decision comes after Mousavi wrote a letter appealing to the Guardian Council and met Sunday with Khamenei, who holds almost limitless power over Iranian affairs. Such an election probe by the 12-member council is uncharted territory and it not immediately clear how it would proceed or how long it would take.

Will Ana3arabi see the light now?

ahmadinejad is as good as dead. and so are musavi and khamenei. one more move, and have them by the balls, and the middle east will be a different place: and not only the middle east.

this is the dawn of the day weve been waiting for so long. this is how revolution rears its head once more.

this is bigger than oktober 1917.

and we will know how to deal with those parties whose arab mercenaries wound and maim and kill our people, the workers and women and students, in the streets of tehran. beware. game is nearly over, the day of revenge is coming.

tyrants and fanatics! this will destroy you.

Actually, that is what Imam Khamenei said from day 1, if any candidate has complaints, he must present them for examination by the Guardian Council. It was Moussavi that sent his thugs on the streets to destroy private and public property and then made it look as if he had forced such a "declaration", whereas that was declared also before the thugs went on the streets. The repetition was a stern warning to Moussavi to play within the rules of the game. Apparently, though, he is a liar. I expect him to be taken care of swiftly, now that he has proven himself to be a liar (claiming he cancelled the protest too late in order to cancel it!!! go make sense of that). Moussavi has shown his true colors, as a slave of the zionists and americans. does he really think his masters will move in to save him or that if they do, they will be able to do anything? if he got 13 million votes, Pres. Ahmadinejad got 25 million. And if there were a rerun, he would get 30 million if not more, bcz the so-called "reformists" have proven themselves to be barbarians that have no regard neither for Iran's interests, nor its image, nor its prosperity, they only care about their make-up and immoral activities. As for the alleged "million"-person rally, I wonder why is an aerial view not shown , whereas yesterday at the Victory rally, an aerial view was shown? is it bcz the cameras are placed such that it would give the impression it's a million-person rally? it is not. and even if it is, so what? As I said, Iran is not just Tehran, and it is known that in the city of Tehran, Moussavi had more votes. Let him try to stage such a protest in ANY or ALL of the cities in Iran? What about Qom, what about Mashhad? What bout Isfahan? Ah but of course, only Tehran and its spoiled rich "westernized" "civilized" men and its unveiled and immoral whores matter! oh, and i thought western media was banned, how come the bbc correspondent is filming and reporting from the streets? and how come Amanpour of CNN is also in Iran ? i thought they were banned! What a joke, what a bunch of liars the west has proven to be. but rest assured, when the tanks roll in and crush anyone standing in their way, moussavi and his zionist supporters in Iran will be history, and the Islamic Republic will remain. ISlamic Republic of Iran will weather every storm and defeat every enemy.

No, that's not what Khamenei said. Khamenei had called the election a "Divine assessment" and called on people to unite behind Ahm adinejad. See this Huge pro-reform rally defies crackdown threats - Yahoo! News

obviously, divine assesment don't get probed. And this hasn't ahppened before.

Moreover, today's mega-huge rally was not given a pass by the government. And there are enough student-beating pictures from yesterday to suggest today was going to be antoher Tianenmen. Worse, Ahmadinejad didn't even guarnatee Moussavi's safety. See the cnn clip of Amanpour/Ahmadinejad here:

Get it? He basically said Moussavi can be assassinated and we won't lift a finger.

And after all that pushback, the police stood down today and Khamenei retreated. Obviously Khamenei and Ahamadinejad have very, if not any legitimacy left.

mark my words, the only ones that willbe destroyed are those who bet on zionists and america. they are the losers befor ethe fight even starts, because God is always on the side of the oppressed if the oppressed are fighting in the name of God. maybe what is happening now is good, because it will give opportunity to purge the zionists in iran, now that they have shown, one by one, their faces. and believe me, they will be purged, if they keep this up. maybe they can set up another camp ashraf in Iraq, or maybe they won't be that lucky as MKO even.

Saying that people must unite behind Pres. Ahmadinejad does not mean he did not give the right for appeal to Moussavi. In fact, the laws are such that any candidate can submit complaint if he suspects fraud, and it will be looked at (and that is what Imam Khamenei had said before the thugs went on the streets -- and anyway, he need not have said it, because that is the law, & Moussavi knows it, but because he has no proofs about fraud, he did not submit documentation about it along with a complaint). That is guaranteed by law. Moussavi has not yet submitted any complaint though, because he has no documents to submit, and this is why he is resorting to unleashing his thugs on the streets.
You are so ridiculous as to think that this is the end of Imam Khamenei & Pres. Ahmadinejad, just because a few thousand people rallied. Also, believe me, if there had been no wish to allow them to rally, they wouldn't have made it to the place of the rally to begin with. What you are seeing today is about letting the losers let off some steam. If you think it's a revolution, you are ridiculous. Worse, if you think it's a revolution against the Islamic Republic and that it would succeed, you need to get your head checked, bcz you obviously think the imara that the rich have built for themselves in a few suburbs of Tehran is enough to take over the entire country.
Yeah, sure, why would they guarantee Moussavi's safety if he is fielding his thugs and holding rallies against the law? he is violating the law, isn't he? Therefore, he is outside the boundaries of the law and has no rights because he is not abiding by his responsibilities as a citizen. The same goes for the safety of all those who have gathered at the place of the illegal rally. :) they can all be shot and killed for all I care. :) And actually, I fully endorse the arrest and execution of Moussavi, for putting the security and existence of Iran last, and his personal interests (and zionists' interests) first. If he wants to have a color revolution he may go seek citizenship in Georgia or Ukraine or something.

Obviously Khamenei and Ahamadinejad have very, if not any legitimacy left.
On what basis do you say this? In zionist-infested rich and satan-worshipping suburbs of Tehran, maybe, but then that was a known thing, not a breakthrough. what about the rest of the population of Iran, 69.5 million, the ones you forgot about, remember them? :)
