I heard jail fer 4 yrs somewhere else, A Guy Considered a Hero by 99% of the Iraqi people Goes to Jail for throwing a Shoe at someone Responsible for the Deaths of More than a Million Iraqis.

DEMOCRACY = Foreign Hegemony = 99%'s opinion don't matter.

I do not understand your complaints.
Guy is not a hero unless he goes though fool cycle of heroism so to say.
After all there is nothing heroic about dead you know you will not get punished for.

"Yup that is what they call dimocracy and freedom of giving your opinion! Welcome to the empire of America!"

You do not have to come. Go to Iran instead. They are throwing shoes at Ahmadinejad there too and nobody is being punished. Iranian democracy is real democracy, not that American phony.

Throwing a shoe is much more heroic then going to war under fabricated accusations and kill hundred of thousands of inocent civilians .

This guy should be rewarded and recognized as national hero .
Bush this mass murderer should be thrown in jail for life .

you do not understand our "complaints" because you live in the lies they keep feeding you about democracy and all this blablabla while we are the people who had the opportunity to experience the american kind of democracy on our own land . you stay where you are and let us take care of ourselves without your precious intervention .

Hes bringing Iran into the conversation because he knows that the U.S's democratic values are very much questioned, and he is also a skeptic of U.S's current democracy. Proof of that, is that he blatantly involved a fallacy into the discussion; bringing Iran forth. For if he were to be completely entrusting in his democracy he would have defended it, not try to defer the subject onto Iranian Democracy. Which is also a wrong thing to say, because there is no democratic system in Iran in the first place, it Shari'a law .

This guy deserves to rule Iraq rather then be imprisonned, and he might very well do that after he graduates, it happened before and it could happen again, his popularity will go stronger by his imprisonment. he's a hero in my eyes, everyone has a different deffinition of heros, some people think heros are those who shoot innocent people backed up by jet planes and a huge army, but this guy did what he can to express his resistance to occupation knowing very well that the consequenses are dire, if the secret service weren't asleep (lucky for him) he knew he might very well have been shot dead, and he still did it.
