Icon7 Where is you favourite residential area in Beirut? - 17th October 2008

Greetings,

Kindly choose between the following areas or choose other if the area you like isn't listed:

1-Hamra.
2-Verdun.
3-Ramlet Baida & Rawche.
4-Other regions in so-called "west Beirut" (mazraa,msaytbeh,etc...)
5-Southern suburb in general.
6-Achrafieh
7-coastal northern suburb (Jdeideh/Antelias/zalka)
8-Northern subrub regions located on hills over Beirut (Rabieh/naccache/fanar/bsalim,etc..)
9-other regions in so-called "eastern Beirut"
10-I don't like to live in Beirut at all.

As for me, my best residential area is Hamra, it is a very authentic street with secular life, where people from all religions cohabite peacefully, add that lots of theaters/cinemas/pubs/bars/restaurants/universties are located there.

What about you? where is your favourite residential are in greater Beirut and why?

Regards.

P.S: please mods, can you add a poll please, thanks.

I would say around Jounieh because its not to far from Beirut and not far from Jbeil. I like to see the sea from my condo every day in the morning when I wake up.

although people laugh at me whenever I say this (even in da7yeh), but if I ever had to live in beirut, most probably I'll choose to live in da7yeh. I stayed there for almost 15 days a year ago and I really liked it.
