Where do we go for Christmas/New Year -
I am taking my family from Norway to Lebanon in mid-december to mid-january. Most of the time will be spent with the family of my wife, but we are looking forward to spend a few days (around 24th-28th of december) at a place with a friendly and relaxed Christmas athmosphere. Our children are one, six and eight-year old. I am looking for advice on a suitable place (like hotel) to spend the time. I am open to all alternatives, like sea or snow, big city or village etc...
So I thought, what better place to ask then here in the Orange Room? I have a lot of respect and admiration so many of you in this forum.

Lebanon is cold around Christmas time, no? Do you think they'd like that? I personally think they're too young to enjoy the cold snow...
Intercon Mzaar Hotel in Fakra is nice, perfect destination to enjoy wintertime. Restaurants, clubbing, skiing, are all part of Fakra during this period.

DI, I don't think he is bringing his family to Lebanon in order to enjoy the snow in Faraya.
Why not?
People of Norway like the snow and I believe that they appreciate different winter landscapes
Anyhow, he certainly wouldn't enjoy a dip in the Mediterranean at this time of the year.. and he could always tour various parts of Lebanon while taking Faraya as a base.
I would recommend visiting Ehden :) you can find the true meaning of peace there that time of year (just like you can find the true meaning of combat all the other times of the year :P)
