You probably are talking about a different plant. It's called wizzel الوزال . They both have yellow flowers. What's in the picture is قندول
You can tell because one has thorns and the other doesnt.

I heard about this place (Baysoor) when a friend posted some personal pictures on Facebook. I won't post the personal pictures here, but here's one I found online. Baysoor will be on my agenda of places to visit next time I go to Lebanon.

In Northern Lebanon, places worth seeing are Seer/B3asefreen and Kousba. Driving from Kousba towards Bsharri you can see some amazing scenery. And the Seer/B3aserfreen area - although not marketing itself as a tourist hotspot - has some amazing scenery!
