The tripoli castle is a must see, very well preserved castle. The Tripoli souk is great, I like the Byblos souk too, don't forget to take them to the HA museum, I heard there is only one like it anywhere in the world :) And while you are there, take them Al Manar.

When you are driving through Lebanon, you are going to want to stop so many places, it's all picture perfect......

And all the sites you go to, especially Byblos and Baalbak, pay the extra $10-20 and get a tour.

I know they can mostly speak at least English, French and Arabic fluently, the guy who does a lot of doors in Baalbak, maybe 60-yeaors old, kinda overnight, big gut....... can speak 6 different languages fluently and can get you a picture so it looks like your arm is touching Jupiters Gate. There is a blond hair woman about 30 in Byblos who does tours, also very excellent, very knowledgable, everyone in Lebanon at the tour sites seems to be knowledable, but for some reason I don't recall any guides in Tyre......

Also be aware of the Syrian beggers in Tripoli souk, and you are going to be swarmed in Baalbak if they know you are a tourist, like no other.....

Also make sure you visit the Beaufort Castle, that castle holds the spirit and dignity of Lebanon :)

Make a thread for Koura too!!

Off the mainstream topic, I created an article on wikipedia "Tourism in Lebanon" which was only a stub. Can some of you who have extra time improve it and add more information? (English site) It's important because many people visit wikipedia and it would be nice if people knew more about Lebanon then war and politics.

You will have to use a chic accent, mixing between two or three languages preferably French and English.

Put a pair of nice RayBans sporting a light beard and a small picture of Bashir in your pocket, you should be fine.
