Default terror during daytime - 12th February 2008

i recieved this mail from a friend 2 days ago , stories/incidents like this are happening a lot but few of us hear about them . i wanted to share it with you and hear what you have to say about such incidents . (i took off the real names both of the sender and others to respect their privacy)

Ř Subject: Story of my friend!!!

I thought of sharing this story with you, to avoid that such incidents
happen with you, your wives or children:

Yesterday, my friend G. was driving her car in Ashrafieh, Sodeco, facing
Zaatar w Zeit at 12:30 AM. She was stuck in the traffic, a policeman
(darake) asks her for a direction, while she is answering him, he claims
that she stepped on his feet with her car & has to take him to the
hospital.

Feeling guilty, she calls her husband telling him that she will take the man
to the hospital. The policeman sitting next to her in the car is being very
gentle, he tells her about his wife & children and even talks to her husband
on the phone to thank him ...

He takes her somewhere next to Jnah (to a pretended hospital there) driving
so many different roads that she gets really lost. Her husband is always
calling her but she can't exactly tell him where she is. The husband feels
there's something wrong, he calls the police and gets in his car quickly &
drives towards Jnah. He drives in the region not knowing where exactly to
go. The last time he calls, he just hears Ghada shouting 'no please'.

10 minutes after, Ghada calls her husband from an unknown number. The
'policeman', if this is what he really is, puts the gun in her tummy (she's
9 months pregnant) and asks her to step down from the car without making any
suspicious move and leaving everything behind; her car, keys, purse, money,
papers, mobile, credit cards, chekbook... VERYTHING or he will empty the gun in her tummy...

So she runs paranoid to the nearest building (note that she is in a
residential area, not in the middle of nowhere) and calls her husband...

PLEASE always lock your doors, & don't let anyone in your car even if he's
split in 2 parts !!!

He could have harmed or harmed her baby if she resisted...

Stay safe!

****...glad she is safe and so is the baby.

Be careful out there, many thugs are lurking especially with the economy as bad as it is.

Not knowing the exact situation, the suspicion is for a Policeman (or pretending to be one) asking for direction. Very unusual...
