amazing, so many new techniques are being created, you could go on to this site, they always have some new studies if you scroll down and look at the solar energy journal, The International Solar Energy Society (ISES)
the world solar congress meets every 2 years to discuss and exhibit new ways for transforming something to solar energy, if you look up it says in the upcominfg events that the Arab solar congress is meeting in Kuwait soon, it's a shame that since 1983, they never met in LEbanon, probably because we don't know shou fi lamaslahitna
till now since 83 they met in
kuwait iraq bahrain jordan oman libya UAE even though 2 of their invited speakers are lebanese this year
i mean shou na2issna, if we dont have electricity, we don't have to keep nagging about si3r il benzin, let's look at installing solar panels on the roofs, wind farms on our snowy mountains, imagine all of this, look at sweden, they're runnig out of ideas, so they started going with offshore wind energy

imagine these pictures off the lebanese coast, we could supply so many cities in the winter, btw solar can cut up to 94 percent of your electricity bill, even if ur living under clouds all year

no man, this is so cheap to get, this isn't more expensive, look, what do u need to get electricity currently, well the gas that's burning is insufficient and the wires and everything is very shitty... with solar panels, u just pay for the installation of a panel on your roof...
u could run a whole casino on 1 wind turbine, it's common in south dakota

does anyone have any info on sadd il 2ar3awn and how many megawatts it produces per year, if it's still active, and if there are any plans to expand it or strengthen it with bigger dams/reservoirs or bigger hydroelectric pumps and stations?
thanks again

En 2006, je sais qu'il y avait 3 unités de production hydroélectrique qui étaient installées sur le fleuve Litani avec une capacité totale de 190 MW.

1.Lebanon is producing 1400MW although installed capacity is of 2200 MW.
We also import electricity from Syria and soon from other countries.

2. yes, those three stations are in the Litani river. There are others (smaller) on Nahr el Bared, Assi and other rivers. But I think that all together, they cannot produce more than the three from Litani river.

About percentage of hydroelectricity in Lebanon, it's between 5 and 10% of our consumption (depends on lots of factors from year to year).

http://www.isesco.org.ma/ISESCO_Tech...ad%20Houri.pdf
the site above has more info for the geothermal sites i cited, if u want
