it has been categorized as a house taking part of the Citadelle and now the ministry of tourism and the municipality of Byblos own it as far as i know.

it's the oldest house in byblos and the only house that made throughout the years right after the citadelle

I have a question for those familiar with Jbeil.

Looking through some pics online I came across the following pic of an old Church for John the Pabtist (or Prophet Ya7ya). Does anyone know what time this church dates back to?

St John-Marc / St Jean-Marc / مار يوحنّا مرقس
one of the most beautiful things to see in jbeil, not just from the outside, you got to see the inside!

was built in 1115 A.D by the Crusades

I have other information concerning that church, it was a small church built by the Lebanese Christians, and Muslims turned it to an إسطبل (a place for their horses) during al fat7 el eslami and then the Crusades came back to liberate it and built it this way

LOL! Whoever said this belongs in an إسطبل. Stick to the first logical historical answer. Jbeil was Muslim before the crusades.

That's the church I got married in (unfortunately). It's name is St. Jean, but in Jbeilian's milieu, it's better known as "Kneeset el Ontosh". It's beautiful from the inside.
