I know it is not the place nor the time for starting a fruitless sectarian debate, but I have a correction and question.

Correction: The iranians (its not an accurate term to describe ppl of that country at that time..but it will do for the moment) were predominantly Sunni. Iran became Shi3ite after the Safavids (safawiyyeeen) conquered Iran and ruled it in early 16th century..

and 3othman was so harsh and corrupt that the people revolted against him and killed him.....(imam ali sent his two sons hassan and hussein to protect him but tehy couldnt)
Question: if othman was corrupt and harsh why did Imam Ali send his two sons to protect him??

Finally, I have another fairytale on the origin of the name "mutwali" that is purely scientific .I guess it is not appropriate to post it here, so whoever is interested PM me for it.

As for the use of "mutwali" term, even if it has a good origin, it evolved to carry a negative connotation throughout the years, so I think refraining from using it is better..

For example, the origin of the word "******" is in the Latin "niger," meaning "black." So even though it doesnt originally mean something bad, it has been used constantly to belittle and redicule the black slaves...Everybody today agrees it must not be used anymore.
