Default kids street - 17th September 2005

what and how would you do to stop kids being abused by their parents? How many of us have come across kids selling chewing gums or flowers or trying to clean car wind shields????Why dont we try hard to stop that?We can find that miserable situation all over the world in poor and rich countries but what measures should we take to give those poor kids their rights as humans?Governments should stop those parents legally and punish them....Kids are beaten at home if they go home with no money..and some get really hurt...should we buy from them so they wont be beaten??? Dont you think by that way we are encouraging their parents to send them more on streets to benifit from them? Well lets hope for a better future

Unfortunately yes, kids are beaten at home if they go home with no money, but yet, encouraging them it'll cause the encouragement of their parents and keep sending them down the street... Child abuse is a social problem. Not only does child abuse have multiple social repercussions, but also individual repercussions that produce lifelong scars. There are many forms of child abuse, sexual, physical, verbal, and emotional(Not only selling chewing gums or flowers or trying to clean car wind shields) Yet, child abuse is very much a reality in this world. Unfortunately, to wish otherwise would be the same as to wish for a perfect world. We must do the best that we can as a political party part from the society with the power of laws on our side to help the innocent young victims of child abuse. We have a responsibility as human beings to do all that we can for these children. Some of us fulfill this responsibility by promoting awareness, some by donating time, money, some by getting laws passed, and some by enforcing laws that protect children from all kinds of abuse. To try to understand what we as a society may be doing wrong & also what we may be doing right to help the young victims of child abuse. The first things that should be understood are: the characteristics of the offenders, the types of offenses, & some of the social issues that are listed as possible causes of child abuse -like- : 1. Drug addiction 2. Poverty 3.A violent society 4.A family history of violence 6.Lack of parenting skills.etc.etc.etc. Our mission(in FPM) must be to try to help improving children's lives through advances in law, justice, knowledge, practice, public policy... Our work must includes such jobs as, strengthening laws, policies, and judicial procedures affecting children, and increasing public awareness of law and justice related to children. We should try helping courts to improve child protection case handling practices, we must also pledge to work to establish child protection agencies in child abuse and neglect cases.

well..as for me trying my best to help as much as i can by finding parents to adopt and joining some organization to help i know i cant do much but it might help a little..but still not enough maybe as a start we should educate parents to learn the value of what they have and know well that their kids : the treasure of life they are our future.. .

Default thank you Mitzidupre - 17th September 2005

Thanks for your good tips of advice hope we all put hand in hand to improve that corrupted society we live in first thing i think people should learn to love God again and think that we shouldnt abuse no one regardless who that person is and should educate our kids to say no and face their parents by stopping them from abusing them...and go to police and report things not let things go on... wish i had the power to help but as a teacher i educate my students to have the right to say no when things arent to their advantages and they have the right to express themselves and say no when it should be said and distinguish right from wrongstill hoping for better future

its indeed a big social problem . we did have and still this sad fact and unfortunatly our goverment promised to take care of it but all it did is jail some of them or send them home to face a horrible punishment . we did work on this matters in schools i remember we did a research where our kids had to get in touch with those kids and investigate their situation it was very intresting for the kids to get in touch each with the word of the other still the problem remain the same those kids desapeared for sometimes cz the police used to catch them and treat them bad ( very positif attitude) but in some areas they kept coming back and now we can see them again on the streets of bey, lots of associations are working very hard to give kids an education and where they can find a good treatment but this is not enough some parent simply wont let go those kids cause for them its their only resource of money ! we need to work more on a social educational level especialy in poor areas where this phenomenon exist more then in other places !!

Yes Coralie i know was talking about kids at school but one day they will be parents and we should also direct them to not commit such mistakes later on and eventhough kids sent to school are still beaten by their parents i see lots coz they didnt get a hundred got 80 instead...so still being abused by their parents there is still evil everywhereand believe me i know many.....

Default Re: kids street - 10th October 2005

Well Coralie wanted to open a thread as i read in her previous post related about camarad Bassam about old people true why dont we mix those topics together what kills me too is seeing an old man or woman standing on streets just begging for money to buy medicine or just a loaf of bread ..it really brings tears down my cheeks as i cant understand how is it possible those people who worked hard in their youth to build a family or for their country and are just dumped on street as if they never existed its a pity but true many also routin at home and no one knows about governments should supply free hospitals for them or nurses my grandma is Italian living in Milano the government was sending a nurse everyday to check on her and housekeeper to cook for her and clean her house i am not demanding much from our government but at least give them happy short life..you will say there is free hospitals for them...ohhhh then go visit one and see how they are treated as if they r rubbish not humans...its dirty hospital specially in Mansourieh it stinks you cant go in...i just pray God and now i am serious not to age long i prefer to die in degnity

Default Re: kids street - 16th March 2006

this thread was opned months ago but as i was bowsing the forum i saw how poor the participation was in threads concerning our social human problems . im shoked to see that 100s of posts contribute to enrich the political forum but so little in human threads that in my opinion are also vital and as important and maybe more to improve our lives .
will we realy be able to workout our problems just by our intrest in politics ?

we have kids on our streets and this is not a good image for our country and for sure not for our dignity as citizens .... and abov all its defenetly not good for the kids !!!!!!!!!!!!
last week i was jogging on the marina with a friend of mine and we saw a car stoping and let a little boy about 6 or 7 yrs old out of the car with in his hand roses the man left the boy on the side of the road and took off leaving behind him the kid with a dozen of roses to sell ....let me tell you this about the marina area the marina is a very dangerous place specialy if ur on the road not on the side walk we witnessed several horrible accidents there as young men drive like crazy there (cars and motorcycles) we even once saw a car going on the side walk thanks God it did nt kill any of the ppl walking there ... when i looked at the eyes of this little kid i felt terrible he was so lonely and lost he was just standing in his place not moving afraid looking around him and what made me more mad is the fact that at this moment i was nt able to do anything for him and not able to put my hands on the man and strangle him !!! a man like this should be arrested and thrown in jail , we dont have the right to use kids this way its outragious ! the next week i saw more kids there age 7 to 10 all standing on difrent parts of the marina selling roses ! it started with one and end up with more kids .....
