Dear All,

Here's an idea to start 26 threads for the 26 cazas (Qada2) of Lebanon dedicated for information and pictures about each of those cazas, members of those cazas could identify themselves with those regions and contribute to what they feel makes their caza so special.

Our Lebanese cazas:

1. Akkar - mephisto794
2. Aley - just_lebanese_80
3. Baabda - mephisto794
4. Baalbeck - mephisto794
5. Batroun - Lebanese_dream
6. Bcharre - Lebanese_dream
7. Beirut - coralie
8. Bent Jbail - Motorcity
9. Chouf - shadow1
10. Hasbaya - Dry Ice
11. Hermel - Abufijli
12. Jbeil - Chief
13. Jezzine - mephisto794
14. Kesrouan - Lebanese_dream
15. Koura - [ M . I . S . S . I . N . G ]
16. Marjeyoun - may05
17. Matn - Dry Ice
18. Nabatiyeh - METALLICA
19. Rachaya - Lebanese_dream
20. Saida - Lebanese_dream
21. Sir el Dinniyeh
22. Sour - hadito
23. Tripoli - LubnanALkawi
24. West Bekaa - Heaven
25. Zahle - Youchka
26. Zgharta - Antonio117

I know this project might seem complicated at first, but think of the value that is added by focus on each of our regions and the affinities members could create, intra and inter cazas, in addition to the sense of belonging to regions instead of to sects or political movements.

I am sure that our fellow Lebanese do not know many of their cazas or did not even visit them, this is a chance to promote Lebanon to the Lebanese as well to the visitors of this forum :)

I will start, I am proudly from Matn.

Lemme know what you think and if your own suggestions to go about this...

----

Abir, thanks for the support
Dry Ice

Why are you so proud? Michel Murr?

I think it's a great idea.
We can start by listing all villages per Caza and some info such as altitude, population, famous people, what is the village known for, etc.
In additiona, there are many villages that have established websites, we can list those websites too.

Look at this:

Uh Oh,

and just about time :(, look at this

BASKINTA ONLINE IS GOING TO BE SOLD
<table id="table1" border="0" width="100%"><tbody><tr><td width="6"> </td> <td> Baskinta Online Website is about to be sold, someone showed interest into buying it. Due to high maintenance cost of Baskinta Online, we want to sell it but we would like to know if there would be any interest from the Municipality or from Baskinta citizens to support the continuity of the site and not let it change into a political one. For inquiries and support please email webmasters@baskinta.com

Maybe we could also update GooGle Earth's info.
We can placemark the smaller villages.
I also wonder if we could suggest places of interest simillar to the National Geographic ones?

Okay, we've got some buy-in

Let's start those threads then and keep this one as writing pad!

Not to make anyone unhappy let's number the caza threads according to alphabetical order, the numbers are just to keep count:

1. Akkar
2. Aley
3. Baabda
4. Baalbeck
5. Batroun
6. Bcharre
7. Beirut
8. Bent Jbail
9. Chouf
10. Hasbaya
11. Hermel
12. Jbeil
13. Jezzine
14. Kesrouan
15. Koura
16. Marjeyoun
17. Matn
18. Nabatiyeh
19. Rachaya
20. Saida
21. Sir el Dinniyeh
22. Sour
23. Tripoli
24. West Bekaa
25. Zahle
26. Zgharta

It'd be great to keep a similar title to the threads like: Discover Nabatiyeh Caza (18) (like a series of discovery threads, which in fact they are)

Cheers
