Bird hunting in Lebanon

It's the only ministry I really hoped they'd take. There is an enormous value in that ministry with a potential to turn the country upside down by creating small working groups in every district to spread the word.

There is nothing wrong in hunting,but it should be organized,periods of hunting should be limited moreover automatic guns should be banned(like in many EU countries)I believe we should give a second chance to the bird(and not to the hunter) shooting 5 shots on a bird is nothing but ignorance ,jefet should be the max gun to use.

yesterday i was talking to my hunting freinds and was asking them keif al mawsaam ( GREAT THIS YEAR IS PLENTIFUL)

they just came back from an Akkar hunting trip and went with couple of ( officers in LA) to hunt.
so guys ma t3azbbo 2albkoun..this is the reality

i know, many will abuse me now LOL.

PS: i just want to say, i am all for organizing it and having birds sanctuaries in order to keep the flock healthy....but sadly that wont happen in lebanon.
so what do i do? stop hunting ?
no i wont, the only thing is i will try to be as human as possible and avoid shooting in the wrong season.THAT IS THE BEST I CAN DO.

Excatly, stop hunting and petition until a sanctuary is opened in Lebanon, then you may have a case to go hunting.

Anyone else here finds it impossible to imagine a Lebanese not shooting a Bird just because it's not on the list of Birds that they are allowed to hunt ?
There's no way to enforce any law, the so called 'hunters' are ignorant by default and are in it just for the pleasure of shooting or a good meal, i find hunting for pleasure is the most idiotic act a human can do.

There are two point of views here, those who are against hunting because of the poor creatures life yada yada, the brigitte bardot type of fans, don't you ever eat beef of chicken? so spare us.
There are the others who are arguing from the point of view of conservation of ressources and the environment. These people I am ready to argue with.

Hunting is normal, but i understand to kill one bird per season and cook it, and eat with family. Not killing tons of them and throwing dead bodies in garbage.

Sorry if i offended you with my yada yada mr, but nobody's asking you to argue or comment on my yadayading...
It's not becoz i'm affected by such a massacre that i do not talk about the very negative efect these killings will have on the environment. I was the first one to say in this thread that we'll have to deal with growing number of insects and harmful bugs that these birds usually eat and that the killings are harming a very fragile ecosystem... so Plz scroll up before being sarcastic.

There is worse than hunting on the environment in Lebanon, like construction for example, not that hunting is not harmful. But it is not true that the life of 10 ducks is worth more than the life of the hunter or "his stupid existence".
Man is on top of the food chain and hunting was his first ever activity and job.
