Many do not know that hunting actually does more harm than good.
Birds are good for the envirnment, not only their beauty and the great sounds they make, but they do contribute to the eco systems in which we live in.
Just to name a few, they eat the bugs from treas. Bugs that feed on the trunks of the trees which may contribute in their slow deaths. Birds also feed on mosquitos, same bugs that you dislike.
Hunting should be banned in Lebanon, I don't support it. It takes over 10 birds to fill an average male stomach. If it were a Lebanese stomach, might want to multiply that by two.
The Lebanese ecosystems is severly impacted deu to neglect. There are many species that have simply vanished because of construction, war, hunting and pollution. Simply put, we have awareness to go and hunt, but we dont have awareness to preserve.
By the way, for those of you who hunt, when was the last time you actually picked up an empty shell, after you fired it? Imagine the trash you leave behind.
Personally, invest in a nice pair of binoculars, make a sandwich, and go for a day hike. Bring with you a book on Lebanese birds and take notes of which you spot. Instead of bringing a rifle, polluting the forests, destroying the trees and killing these harmless creatures.

Birds are the angels (with wings of course) of nature. I wouldn't hesitate to hunt anyone who hunts those beautiful creatures; and those who cage them too. How can you jail a bird!!!
Now you would be able to get away with hunting some birdies around you, but you hunt this birdie and you can say goodbye to your mama !!! | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to Dalzi For This Useful Post: | | | Registered Member

Barbarians typical barbarians.
Actualy barbarians is a nomenclature i would've given to the fools with rifles sometime ago, but nowadays it would better fit to describe those as animals. (7ayawenet)
Its a symbol of pride among the barbarian population to carry a rifle and intrude in the cycle of nature; as per the barbarians, the son barbarian as soon as old enough, the father barbarian offers his son barbarian a rifle as a symbol manhood, the son barbarian has balls now, he ought to look like it.
God be willing if the newly barbarian offspring doesn't shoot down enough birds, that would bring shame onto the barbarian legacy; the father barbarian would have to hide his face among friends and family.
Ignorance, hypocrisy, third-world demise, idiocy, instinctivness... what else could describe the so called ''hunters''?
You ought to be ashamed of yourselves.
I am not very surprised though, Lebanon goes with idoits on the political level down to idiots on the common street level.
I've seen doctors even university deans, carrying rifles doing their stuff; it doesn't come as a surprise to me still, when you have a country with a dump of rulers expect the population to act indifferent, even the elites among society are to be stepped on by the law, the elites can't even take the initiative themselves.
Hope Lebanon turns into another arabian desert so I would take this load of **** off of my mind.

I am categorically against this practice especially in a country that is rapidly losing its flora and fauna.
If it is up to me I would impose severe penalties on hunters, like $200 a bird and the second time round 2 month jail sentence and not just one night in maghfar.

مخفر مش مغفر
Oh and hunting is not so bad if it is controlled, birds do multiply the important part is to leave the multiplication sustainable which of course is not studied in lebanon, more importantly than hunting is the descrtruction of their habitat all the construction and kissarat are worse than the hunting itself

We've got to understand something about the psychology of hunters: As far as they're concerned, what hey're doing is an activity, a Sports, nothing more. Just like fishermen, they do not take into consideration the poor animals they're slaughtering, it's the least of their concern. What matters is the fun of it, and, at the end of the day, a nice dinner... poor Lebanon | | | | | | |
