Icon5 Bird hunting in Lebanon - 2 Weeks Ago

All hunters in Lebanon wait impatiently for the period of October/November to practice one of their favorite activities, especially in the Bekaa...

Using rifles, bird-machines or other methods, they go back home after with 150/200 birds each... It's important to mention that bird-hunting is forbidden by the lebanese law...

Are you a hunter? do you approve of this activity? what may be in your opinion the ecological and evironmental consequences of hunting??

Thankyou

It is also forbidden to shoot people not only birds... Yet the government does not do much about enforcing such laws.

So it seems you're not a hunter... do you know any hunters? what do you tell them when they go on a hunting trip or when they bring back hundreds of birds?? (hope it's not: el leile ra7 ne3zom el chabeb 3a sakra w 3safir!! )

last time i ate a bird i was 2 years old

i tell u they taste delicious

but after i actually figured out that the dish in front of me was actually a tweety bird from outside i never touched the darn thing again

birds are very very beautiful delicate creatures, me i'd never hunt a bird

but i can understand others if they hunt them, but only 'hunt' and not massacre them !

Totally agree!! the same happened to me, but i was a little bit older, like 10 years-old. I stopped eating them when i saw the poor creatures drenched in blood one day after my father came back from the hunt...
But you know, i've seen a reportage on LBC news tonight, it seems commerce is flourishing in the bekaa during this season, the Afran and weapon stores are always full... it's true when people say "le malheur des uns fait le bonheur des autres" ....

Meaningful picture indeed I wish we were half as brave as birds...
I wonder what would people do if monsters came every day and killed 1000 of us...
