anyway , my family origin is from keserwen , one of our family killed a man men bet el khazen (long long time ago) and ran away to syria , then lamma reji3 reji3 3a 3akkar , 3al 2bayyet
it's a long story but that's the brief resume
my conclusions :
cons: instead of being from a cool place like keserwen i am stuck in akkar , the worst place on earth
pros: we are a brave family , we can kill khazens in their own stronghold :D (of course running away to suria is not part of the bravery thing :P)
wow! interesting
I didnt know that "infection" family are from akkar and originally from keserwen....

Wrong the Christians were first given this title just after Jesus' death cAD 40, about the same time St. Peter became the First Pope of the Syriac Orthodox Church.

yikhzel3ain an Arab gave him the name Saleebi. Shou this Arab spoke Syriac? Saleebi is a Syriac word not Arabic.

Wrong habibi. It means they were chrisitans forced to convert under threat of the mohanad to Islam and change their names.
They then converted back.

Your Family? Possibly, but most of the family names in Lebanon are Aramaic-Syriac.
Just like 95% of the towns and Villages in Lebanon are all Syriac Words/Names.

Wrong habibi, not that I'm surprised by your ignorance. When did the prophet threaten people? LOOOL! He even threatened those poor Christians? People were free to choose whether to believe in walking gods, stone gods, or gods up there until the Crusades came with their bloodshed and murder; worse than bin laden. Had Islam been forced, you wouldn't have seen the Shiaa in Lebanon.

All Lebanese family names are Arabic names, Christians with 'Hashimi' families are originally Muslims who were forced to convert to Christianity by the Romans. Conversion to Islam wasn't forced on Bilad al Sham.

More ignorance, go educate yourself on the history of the Arabic language, then learn some vocab.

Hail ignorance! You'd make linguists roll on the floor from laughter lol Do yourself a favour and stop making a fool of yourself. If this is the 'knowledge' that has come out of your family; i congratulate you, fikon lbarakeh You remind me of those who think fairouz isn't singing in Arabic

Which member in disguise are you? lol

Ar3et bayyee?? hehe well my great-great-great grand'father came to Beiteddine from a village called "Khreib Sobbah" in Jezzine. But they originally say that our family is from Batroun.. though i'm not quite sure about that...
As for the origin of the name (Najm), ther's an interesting tale running in the family : apparently: our ancestor was the astrologer of Emir Fakhreddine!!

As for Ar3et emme, she's actually from Ein el Mreisse, but it seems that she originally comes from her father's side, from the North. and from her Mother's side, from Egypt, since her grand'mother's name was Kopti. As for the origin of her family name: Merheb: the real name was Merheb Al Chantiri, but apparently, her ancestor from the North killed some1 and then ran away to Beirut, so people were terrified of him and called him Merheb, as in scary

Thus is it i guess,

Cheers!!

Father: My Grand-father & his dad come from Dhour el Shweir-Lebanon to Hassbia then to Damascus in early 1900's (Escaping from Othmanian violence)

Mother: Kafroun- next Mashta el Helou - in the syrian coast mountains (There is a big celebration every 14-15 August in "Al Saydih's Mountain" which is a sacred place in this region) ... My Grand-father's brothers had emigrated to Argentina in early 1900's and we had lost their news few years later ...
90 years later, 1 month ago ,I found 4 of their offspring on Facebook . It was a hilarious occasion to find people who share blood with me, in the other part of the world , with completely, different language & culture & society ....
