I guess the source of the problem is us, lebanese... Ads are addressed for an audience and consequently it is based on the audience's reactions that the level of creativity is set.
Unfortunately, We are just too lenient and too reggressive.. whilst we used to be more demanding.
And this is reflected in the ads, the TV programs, the new singers, etc... welcome to Lebanon's dark ages

Tazzzi,
naturally there are exceptions and we can still find a few good ads like FPM ads and the one you named (except for hte almaza ad "mamnou3 al tajamou3at" Bof... They have the don't drink and drive ad that is not bad though)

PhoenixResurrection, you're right but they must try to give the lebanese better notions in ads and marketing. When i watch a commercial in lebanon i think i'm really in a third world country.

Well the campain of last year was about: all people are looking up, then it turned out to be that their heads are up cuz they are drinking almaza (it was a teasing campain) and the slogan was: "almaza, khalli rassak marfou3"

But this year, its so silly and the slogan is: "almaza, hayda jawwna", and the guy who is talking is so waz waz, its not that funny or attractive at all...

les libanais n'ont pas de culture...............the europians now evrything about art and phylosophy and pschology but the lebanese don't know a thing............ and rare r the ones who r cultural............

i just want to know if any of the lebanese ( that live in leb ) knows wat means "masochiste" or "sadiste" or even read a book of Freud... does any of you lebanese know about other painters than : picasso, da vinci or khaleel jubran......... like caravaggio or francis bacon .... ??

did any one of you read 1 book a year ( at least ).........

the ones who would answer these questions would b 1% of the lebanese...

that's wat happenned to lebanon after all lebanese prefered to know about fashion and never b wanting to know about culture.........

and for sure culture is the base of creativity....

Il ne faut pas généraliser. It is true that most lebanese are not into reading and that most lebanese cannot sustain an intellectual conversation, but we do have lebanese that do know about Caravaggio, that do read etc..etc... They might be as numerous as the other group but still they are not that negligeable.

You cannot find homogeneous societies where everyone is cultured, intelligent, witty, etc..etc... In western country, the cultured outbeat the others, in lebanon it is,unfortunately, the other way around.

And speaking of Caravaggio, I was once talking to french colleagues at work about longing for a WE in London given the low prices and specially because there is an important exhibition on Caravage (Caravaggio in french).. and one replied was :oh I didn't know you were interested in mecanics .. mais this guy is exceptional LOL
