I will keep this short. Anyone tried this product [Myoplex] ? Can you give your feedback/review/results ? I am searching for a way to gain weight.
Comprehensive Database of Nutrient Value of Some Common Foods

The approach to choosing nutrients for inclusion in the booklet has changed. The set of 19 nutrients now varies for different food groupings. Nutrients relevant to one specific food group may not be as important to another. For example, cholesterol is present in meats but is not present in fruits and vegetables. When nutrients do not contribute significantly, emphasis is now directed towards components more specific to the group. This allows the addition of more detailed information on the types of fats in the fats and oils group, reporting of beta-carotene and lycopene in the fruit and vegetable groups, and inclusion of values for alcohol and caffeine in the beverage group.

Although trans fatty acids are of public interest, these values cannot be included in this publication. Most food values in the CNF and therefore in this booklet, are generic. For example, chocolate cookies are a representative average of the most popular selling brands in Canada and do not correspond to a specific brand name. The fatty acid content of individual brands can vary widely, and many companies are in the process of re-formulating due to consumer demand. For these reasons, the most reliable way to determine trans fat content of your pre-packaged food is to check the mandatory Nutrition Facts table found on the package.

Trace indicates a measurable quantity in the food, but too small to be included. Zeros indicate a true zero content of the nutrient. N/A indicates a lack of data or "missing value" for a nutrient. Do not assume that missing values are zeros.

The values presented are mean values for a nationwide representative sample. Some of them have a wide range of deviation based on a variation in contributing samples due to such factors as soil type, season, geography, genetics and diet.

DHA and EPA (docosahexanoic acid and eicosapentanoic acid) are long chain omega-3 fatty acids that are known to have positive effects on health. The major dietary source of these fatty acids is fatty fish.

Vitamin E is the common name for the family of antioxidants called tocopherols. Nutrition recommendations are based solely on alpha-tocopherol as this naturally occurring form is the most biologically active. Vitamin E in this booklet refers to alpha-tocopherols only.

of course you all know that carbohydrates will transform into sugar :msnsad:

This is really important

many of us dont generally do well in listening tests

we lose focus, we forget, we doze off, we mix things up, we get sleepy, we get bored, we interrupt and what is said to us gets lost

being a good listner is a good trait, so is learning when to shut up

so, any tips on how to become better listeners and tune our focus to what is being said ?

Then she wore pants and a half-sleeve shirt.

Then she wore a scarf on her head and a long, black, loose gown.

Then she covered her face but let her eyes show.

Then she covered her whole face.

Then she decided to stay home.

*The belief in the social, political, and economic equality of the sexes.

Can Feminists make us(we men) understand what they really want by showing us where does inequality reside?

Is the real target an equality with men, or freedom from them?

Do Lesbian groups feel they belong to such a movement?

What is the impact of pornography industry on women and their place in society?*

Female Spite, unholy of holies ?

Poll
who holds a spite&grudge better:

-guys
-girls

some guys are known to hold a grudge like rambo did if someone pillages their villages, murders their family, steals their car or runs over their pet. and the grudge is over once the guy smacks the fellas responsible a couple of good times over their sins or he gets bored in the process.

now some girls on the other hand seem to hold magical grudges, or venom sack spites to be more exact, for no good reason at all. perhaps it was the way someone looked at them, breathed next to them or even the way someone existed on an even quantum level that seems to have offended them and set a chain of illiadic random spite loose hehe

guy nature and grudges aren't completely opposite since guys like to bash things by nature, but pretty girls and spites don't go well together especially if the divine spite is caused by some invisible pixie dust that the target victim disturbed by accident.

but that is just my opinion, i am merely noting a fleeting observation here that girls, whilst quite unfitting and lady like, when they pick up a grudge spite they do it in disproportional epic B movie drama scales

while any guy who holds a grudge of such an epic B nature would be immediately considered unstable, some girls do this lipstick vendetta with quick grace and refined finesse turning the stomachs of observers artistically upside down whenever one notes them doing their spite venting

so, is the superior form of female spite, if it even exists, a subject of esteem or disdain, a matter of myth or reality, a biproduct story of pride or that of a bitter spouseless bride?

i really don't know, it's just a question over just a fleeting observation ;)

i for one believe cute and venom don't go well hand in hand

but plz feel free to vote in the poll if u like b4 sharing ur stories about this catwalk of horrors with us :)

What do you do when things are too "holy" to discuss?

I often experience this with relatives back home.

An innocent discussion is initiated, fluffy talk ensues, things start to get more serious, religion is seeped in, then it's either shut up and smile and end the discussion, or question religion and voila you're a "disbeliever" or one who has derailed off the "right" path.

It's no secret that people back East have much stronger religious inclinations than others around the world and than a lot of us living abroad or educated abroad.

Could it be that being taught religion so stringently is one of the reasons that our people and neighbours back East are more one-dimensional in thought? Religion teaches people not to question "the words of God". If they cannot question "God", doesn't that make them more susceptible to worshiping religious figures, political leaders, kings, rulers, dictators, fathers, elders, etc.? Once this “divine” allegiance is engrained in the minds of people at an early age (via religious teachings), doesn’t it also make it harder to break “less-divine” forms of allegiance in later years?

Moreover, doesn’t interaction with “same” others as a result of living in homogeneous or semi-homogeneous countries, cities, villages, neighbourhoods also impede thought evolution and debilitate the chances of breaking loose of the allegiance philosophy?

In Lebanon – which is a relatively less homogenous country than others in its vicinity – people tend to be more open to different thoughts. Although in Lebanon we might end up slaughtering each other over silly disagreements, before we actually pull out our knives or after we put down the guns we are more open to hearing opposing views or “crazy” views than other people of neighbouring countries. Lebanon’s diversity has somewhat aided us in liberating our thoughts to an extent.

The impediment to taking things beyond this stage remains religious loyalty and homogeneous communities. Will the day come when we see all neighbourhoods in Lebanon a mixture of different religious communities, or better yet, secular communities where no one knows the other’s religion and religion-specific names become a thing of the past?

What Defines Mean People Thread

Throughout life, normal ppl can be mean sometimes, but set aside from normal ppl is the select group of hopelessly mean ppl that take this trait to the next chronic 24/7 level

But what is exactly a mean person?

it's hard to point down, so perhaps this thread can help clarify the general resentment level especially since forums bring out the worse in ppl and allows us more samples to study ;)

the list of traits would include

-snooty/snobbish prince/princess mean
-know-it-all stubborn talking wall mean
-judgemental/preaching mean
-insensitive uncreative and unfunny mean
-make others feel bad/laugh at them mean
-cruel hearltess cold mean
-jealous and insincere mean

but more important details and traits are sure to abound and sharing the insight into them and the behavior of ppl with a internal-score-to-settling-externally deserve our compassion and understanding as strange mean test subjects in the name of science ;)

so what makes chronic mean ppl tick.. ?

what drives them to live life in the "mean lane".. hehe
