Bon jovi have outdone themseves with this one; if any fans around here recall the These Days album they'll be glad to know that Bon Jovi have come back to their roots.

I'm 25, listenning to loud rock isn't that of a mood; but this album has a trick to it, lovely notes, hard and catchy at the same time.

Not to mention the lyrical content.

If any old-timer Bon Jovi fans are around, give it a go, you won't regret it, you can download it anywhere.

Try Superman Tonight, or Thorn in My Side; which have been blowin my speakers for the past two days.

Liban: Le Clézio et Schmitt au Salon du livre francophone

AFP - La 16ème édition du Salon du livre francophone de Beyrouth a été inaugurée jeudi soir et accueillera cette année des poids lourds de la littérature tel que le prix Nobel de littérature 2008 Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio et le romancier franco-belge Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt.

Plus de 150 auteurs, dont près de 70 en provenance de pays francophones différents, participeront à cet événement qui se déroule du 23 octobre au 1er novembre au grand centre d'exposition de la capitale libanaise, le Beyrouth International Exhibition and Leisure Centre (BIEL).

Parmi eux Edgar Morin, Robert Solé, Gilles Leroy, Patrick Poivre D'Arvor, Didier Decoin, Henry Laurens et Richard Millet, mais aussi des auteurs libanais d'expression française comme Vénus Khoury-Ghata et Salah Stétié.

Le salon, qui accueille plus de 80.000 visiteurs par an, est le troisième salon francophone au monde après celui de Paris et de Montréal et se veut une passerelle entre l'Orient et l'espace francophone.

Le Salon de Beyrouth, qui se déroule cette année dans le cadre de "Beyrouth capitale mondiale du livre", avait repris en 2008 après deux ans d'interruption en raison de la guerre et de l'instabilité au Liban.


Le pays du Cèdre, qui a également organisé cette année les Jeux de la Francophonie, est membre de l'Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), qui compte 55 Etats et gouvernements.

Malgré l'absence de statistiques officielles, on évalue à environ 38% le nombre de Libanais qui peuvent -peu ou bien- s'exprimer en français.
