Gilberte Zouein vs. Nicolas

Yup it's Gilberte Zouein our depute in Byblos, with the watermark of the famous photographer Nicolas, whom I had the privilege to have a photo taken from him back in the 80s.

Zouein is remarkable for her silence, amazingly, tayyar.org once posted an article about her praising her for being silent and mystic, as if a good sign.

So who is Gilberte Zouein? why is she our MP?

1- She's the daughter of someone.
2- Her family is feudally influential in their area.
3- She can fill a seat.
4- She has time to go to the weekly sessions.

We collectively agreed, after being disenfranchised from the selection process, that instead of making active and reformist candidates run for parliament, we should accept the useless ones. After all, it's fine if she makes a salary that she doesn't earn :)

By the way, I would have mentioned someone other than Gilberte, but apparently there are some in the bloc whose names are still unknown, for some unknown reasons.

What a pity where we're ending up.
