Alright lets not veer into the supernatural for the discussions sake. Let us just for the sake of argument focus on things which have been proven and have been observed. I can tell you that a green tode living in the vast stretches of Andromeda is responsible if you live or not. You might not agree, as i might not agree that u need a soul to live. So lets just stick to things which can be empirically proven.

You need a brain to live. Surgeons can keep your heart going, but not your brain, once its dead, khalas, finito, astala vista, you cease to function.

So, doesnt it strike you as plausible, that if abortion should be permitted it should be applicable before the brain forms, the organ responsible for breathing life into the baby. If the exemption of a brain is required to declare death, isnt the existence of a brain necessary to declare life?
