Islam is all about Humility.
Not in the modern sense, "Democracy" in Islam is basically asking people for thier opinions and taking those into consideration. In Islam the word for this is "Shura" and Allah has complimented this concept in his book. The First thing the Muslims did after the death of thier prophet(PBUH) was elections. And if they had ballot boxes at the time they surely would have used those.
