Regarding your first question, there are no particular references, but there are some preferred ones like Bates, Harrison, Current, but these are not "spécialité" books. Step 1 and Step 2 books for US residency scholarship may also prove to be useful.

There are 2 types of exams: oral and written. In the written exam, it's questions with multiple choices. In the oral exam, you stand in front of a jury of MDs who ask you 3-4 (e.g not many) questions, most of which are not even related to your "spécialité". Of course, the colloquium is done in the Medical Sciences building of the Lebanese University in Hdath-Kfarchima compound.

Now regarding the AUB entrance exam, I'm afraid I can't help you since I'm not a student there and haven't researched about the subject yet.
