i agree with "erzallubnan" when he said that there's 3 kinds.
lets take us the Levant Arabs, as we used to be the more advanced between all other Arabs in everything. especially in culture, but we still have a lac in reading. the people of our region don't. a people with no interest of reading and with no curiosity to knowledge, will note revolt until someone drag him to it.
e.g: jews published a book talking about the foundation of their country in palestine 50 year before they did it, but none of this region read it, or the one who read it didn't give a **** sh**

reading is the solution (Friedrich Nietzsche, Nikolo Makiaveli, Che Guevara,...)
