JUST FOR THE RECORD OF EVERYBODY:
It was Gad el Maleh himself who withdrew because of "fear on his security".
Samy el Gemayel of course, that little 1940s fascist, is defending cultural exchange, just anything to bash our glorious resistance and the opposition.
