I think I have to agree with "nuclearcat", that you can't judge a whole brand base on your experience using a certain model.
A laptop is a combination of compatible parts targeted for specific users.
So you have to put 3 things in mind when looking for a laptop:
1- use: u're buying it for office work, graphics, high computational calculations, server, etc... if you're looking for performance, try to find a laptop with lots of RAM & with 7400 rpm hard disks.
2- compatibility: some OS operate better than others with certain parts & chipsets. So if you buy a laptop with XP installed, you should know that probably it will work better with XP than Vista (OS vs. Drivers vs. Compatibility).
3- price: if you're looking for a super computer for $500... forget it. |
