Yes, in Russia they have this law. And:
1)16 y.o. arrested and jailed for 2 years, police need to get "numbers" for their bosses. Poor guy was asked to reinstall Windows for $10.
2)Many system administrators arrested, because company owners dont want to pay for software or some employees installed pirated software on their computers. When case came to investigation all point fingers to most unprotected employee - sysadmin.
3)School director in villiage arrested. Because company supplied computers with pirated Windows (and he didn't knew that it was pirated, but company had money for bribes and he didn't had). They tried to fine him 10000 USD or 5 years of jail. Check google "Ponosov case".
4)One political blogger jailed. They was not able to find mistakes he done, but they found trial software on his computer. Some people said they just put crack and thats it...
5)Few people, who hold torrent website got blackmailed by IP holders. Some of them arrested and jailed (freetorrents.org, or smth like this, i dont remember).
I can give more examples, just i need to remember facts...

But still, you can buy software, it will crash, bug and etc, and when you try to call support - you hear a silence or silly excuses. When you try to sue them, they say to you : "Moron, read software license agreement/EULA, there is written by big letters and many times - WE DONT HOLD ANY RESPONSIBILITY". You paid your money, now get lost.

So apply IP law Lebanon, your talents wants to go to jail, and IP giants like M$ want more Lebanese money.
