the lies of so-called reformists are coming to light more and more :

Police chief: Mousavi not under house arrest

Amid rumors about the whereabouts of Mir-Hossein Mousavi, Iran's acting police chief denied reports that he was under house arrest.

Nevertheless, pointing to street protests in Iran by people for what they believe was a rigged presidential ballot, Brig. Gen. Ahmad Reza Radan said that a number of individuals, who had taken part in illegal gatherings in the capital had been arrested by police .

“Over 110 of those who did not have an organizing role in the gatherings, but were (mere) participants have been arrested,” ISNA quoted Radan as saying.

In addition, “At least 50 of the organized rioters were arrested, some of whom had previous records of burglary,” he explained.

He stipulated that the arrests went beyond protesters.

“After obtaining warrants, police arrested the main organizers (of the gatherings), most of whom were active in the campaign headquarters (of candidates), and police are investigating the relationship between the organized groups and the plotters,” said Radan.

He said “at least ten” of the “plotters” had been arrested and several others were currently “on the run.”

He did not disclose the names of any of the detainees.
