Yet despite all this improvements. Last year they won 50 games with AI, this year only 4 games more ( 54).
Comparing Billups vs Iverson isnt fair as well. One is point guard, the other is shooting guard. Denver got billups because they needed a point guard, not a scorer.

Also there were many lies spread about AI. Like for example he was banned from two casinos and he made fights.. which just later on came out to be false.

The rookie coach was totally a disaster. At one point of the season detroit were 21 - 11 ( winning in los angeles lakers, beating cleveland, beating healthy san antonio with ginobili in spurs, beating orlando .... all with AI) . Instead he created jealousy between his players inside the team. They ended the season by playing below .300 basketball.Possibly the worst team at the end of the year. And many of their injuries ( not just AI, Rasheed Wallace + Hamilton) were alot fishy. All of those players missing games together made it very suspicious they didnt want to play with detroit anymore..
