If someone could post the history of the family so we could understand how it got so geographically spread and religiously diversified!

I have an iranian friend whose last name is Najar (one J; they don't emphasize on the J). He's purely persian. Also, Nijjar is a famous Punjabi last name. Punjab is an indian/pakistani region.
