Well i will surprise you, there is NO STANDARDS for that. Few regulations created recently, by TRA (TRA - Telecommunications Regulatory Authority), like VSAT more than 1Watt forbidden, and forbidden (for DSP) to use frequency that is not allocated for him. And dont worry, TRA released official letter immediately that one of DSP's using illegally frequency for WiMax and to not make with him any deals about that. They wont allow anybody to use anything illegal.

For example you are saying "biggest percentage of their downlink taken from illegal provider" - thats absolute lie. Before talking anything, you have to show proof, at least smallest. Otherwise i can tell you are agent of Israel and accusing us, because we are supporting Lebanese army.

And last thing again. We have all required legal papers, we apply for official backbone and we PAID for it. Only one small issue - we are not getting it. And reason is very easy, with backbone we should get access to sell over ADSL network, and we have pack of technologies, that will let us with boot off majority of legacy ISP's from this market. Everybody understands that well, and crying that VISP is "illegal" and they are using "illegal technologies" and backbone of them "illegal".
For example NONE of ISP's developed their own PPPoE NAS. We developed our own linux distribution, USB flash based, based on open-source technologies (means zero cost for lebanon), instead of throwing money outside lebanon, to Cisco/Nortel/etc. We implement our OWN caching technology, while all other ISP's thrown money for Cisco/Bluecoat/etc. Routers, billing - everything is made by our hands and cheaper than others, and giving much more advantages than other "stock" solutions.

Regarding different links... well you are so smart. Just give me idea, where you can find different links in Lebanon? Yes satellite download everybody taking from multiple sources, but when **** hit the fan, everybody suck. Because right now foreign companies not allowed to work on Lebanese market... while almost everywhere around they are allowed to do so.
You need to relax a bit before you start calling people with adjectives, at the end you're the front of the company on this forum... I don't care if you built your own linux distro (fairly easy to do) and I am not going to enter in a technical argument with you about routers and others. Customers don't care what you do or what you have, they are more interested in your connection speed and stability, and customer support (clearly you personally failed on this one). Anyway, there are many ISP's that offers redundancies, at least another link with 25% of their current bandwidth, l3ama even the university I used to go to has 2 downlinks. If you want to start with proof talk. You have been talking for a while on the forum about stuff, and I have the same proof-absence reason to say your just marketing the company you work for, you didn't give us a single proof, till now.

My proof is simple, VISP outage happened when the ministry said they removed some illegal equipments, which means one or all your downlink were illegal when your connection went dead. I assume you will also reply like before trying to defend your company, at least do it in a respectable way.
