It's hard to deal with such accident cz the person will have to change all his habits and his way of life. Some people could be very shocked and can't face their new state of health.

Personally, I've never be in such a case but I was in touch with many people cz I had to work with them for ome time.
I can tell you that people with permanent disability I've met in the specialized center are the most human people I had ever met in my whole life.
They are caring, sensitive and, the most important thing, always smiling, in spite of their disability, and I learned too much from them.

If some day I had some accident and I had to lose some part, I'd go directly to a specialized center where they have many qualified monitors who can help me to accept my new case.
