I think you're talking about the beta-carotène or the pro-retinol?
It's better to see a doctor and ask him about this cz as Souss said, a hypovitaminose A could cause many problems as blindness, bones fragility, meagreness..etc
So, it's not a decision that you can take without asking a specialist.
