You forgot to mention that during the 1940's war, and opposite to popular belief, the Arab armies were twice on the verge of defeating the Israeli Army, but twice a U.N resolution prompted the fighting to stop by influence by major global powers. There is a popular saying dating back from that time which captures the failing of Arab commanders to take on the initiative and defeat the Israelis. |
