Where did you ever see us laughing at the death of our people? You are choosing in viewing things the way you want them to be. We never revel at destruction, but at resistance under horrendous conditions. We do brag about deaths, but about the amount of sacrifices we are ready to endure to finally beat the living **** out of violators like your state.

Confront the IDF? You mean the F16’s? Or the Apache’s? Or the mirkavas and the thousands of soldier who cowar inside them, never daring to glare outside? You dare mention cowardice? An army that needs to bombs the living daylights out of an entire block before moving in with armored tanks? The only reason civilian casualties were so high was because your soldiers couldn’t fight their combat valor and in so had to bomb entire residencies in whom they had taken defensive position( and no they don’t have resource to have entire HQ’S and bases, and building those would obviously be useless ). Man your sence of balance has blown a fuse, you are actually comparing the fighting capabilities of your army with that of hamas. I’ll tell why it’s a victory. It is a victory, because not only is the balance of power so uneven, and you had managed to starve the entire strip for months on end, in order to facilitate the capitulation of hamas. Hoping that the Palestinian population would usurp them. So not only, did you fail, under these circumstances, to annihilate hamas, you failed to stop the missiles, failed to turn the people against them, cultivated hate for your nation in the heart of the rising generations of Palestinians, managed to soften the rift between hamas and fateh. And now you are retreating, in the claims that you have severely damaged the organization by killing their leaders. You and I both know that this rule do not apply to guerilla organizations. So quit the bull. In so, you had only managed to kill 2000 palestinians, injure 5000, flatten 30% of urban areas, scorch infrastructure. Indeed what a victory.

To you they are using them as human shields. Your intellect allows you to perceive hamas as a regular army with bases and hq’s that are far from the general populace. Which is something that is obviously wrong, because hamas draws its power from the general populace that feeds it and supports it. And the nature of the tactics, is blending within the populace to avoid detection. I agree it is not a subtle tactic, yet if the situation were to be as horrendous as you are describing it, we would have seem widespread dissidence amongst Palestinians against hamas, which is something that went by unwitnessed, thus your argument fails. It fails from the beginning, because you do not realize our ideology, do no understand that every Palestinian family has a member in hamas, and ever Lebanese (mainly shiaa’s) have members in Hizboullah. Do no understand that, even though we greave at every death, we also see ourselves closer to justice with the sacrifices of our martyrs, and that any of us would give his life to fight the injustice that has been committed against us since decades.

We did not run crying, they fought in the cities. Your not going to force your tactics of engagement on them too . And proof of that is the dozens of Israeli soldiers injured in combat.
