i was surprising to find out that airplane tickets are at an all-time high, even higher than last summer when the price of oil was more than 140$/barrel..
now the price of oil went down below 40$ and the world economy is at least slowing down not to say full blown recession...
any one has any idea why airline carriers are keeping their prices up?
PS: high prices will make more expensive on Hariri to bring hordes of immigrants to vote next June... haha

I was wondering about the same thing, prices are unbelievably high from here (L.A.) to Beirut, but i can promess, me and every one here that i know are going to be there regardless. We try to go down there every summer anyway but this next one, it is our duty as FPMers to go there and represent for our beloved General, so we will be there nomatter what the prices are.
As for the other part of your post, i am already hearing echos among the Lebanese community in L.A. and specifically the Long Beach area, of some contacts being made with people around here regarding one week round trip tickets to Beirut being given out for free. Hmmm i wonder what that is all about..
